Make content about: Jasmine is back at school and dancing

Bullying left Jasmine unable to leave the house. Reconnecting with her heritage helped her return to school and take up dance.

This story

Jasmine was struggling with anger, anxiety and bullying at school, leaving her isolated and rarely able to step outside. Through a social prescribing link worker, she and her mum began discussing their experiences and exploring welcoming spaces, including a church and a pageant celebrating young Black women. Drawing strength from her Jamaican heritage, she built daily routines, returned to school, and began attending weekly dance classes.

Where you could take it

Join Jasmine at a dance class and sit down with her to talk about how reconnecting with her heritage helped her rebuild her confidence.
