Make content about: James is running the London Marathon

After three operations for a detached retina stopped him from exercising, James is preparing for the London Marathon.

This story

At 37, severe short-sightedness led to James suffering a detached retina that required three operations to repair. The recovery put driving, flying and exercising on hold, but he eventually returned to running despite permanent peripheral scarring that affects him in the dark. He is now set to run the 2027 London Marathon to support research into vision loss.

Where you could take it
