Make content about: Isla is heading to secondary school
Isla faced years of being overlooked at primary school. Now she is preparing to step into secondary school.
This story
Isla has a rare condition called Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva, which causes bone to form in soft tissues, severely limiting movement and affecting her growth. Across primary school, she dealt with teasing and exclusion alongside classroom achievements and recording her own song. Supported by her family, she is now practising new routines and preparing for the transition to secondary school.
