Make content about: Ishrat took the floor at Parliament
Catch up with Ishrat after she took to the floor at Parliament to speak on why young people belong in politics.
This story
Supported by The Girls' Network, Ishrat went from feeling like an anxious teenager who did not belong in politics to speaking at the Houses of Parliament. As part of the My Maiden Speech initiative, she joined thirteen other young speakers to share lived experiences and challenged the audience to mentor and open work opportunities. The charity continues its work to build confidence and help young women take their place in leadership.
