Make content about: Iris got the support she needed

Iris had been turned down for support as her health deteriorated. With the right guidance, she finally secured it.

This story

Iris, who is 68, lives in Blackwood with knee issues, a heart problem and vertigo, and receives care from her daughter. After her health worsened and a previous application was rejected, she attended a community advice session for help with Attendance Allowance. An adviser went through the qualifying criteria and helped her complete a fresh form detailing her daily living needs. Iris was awarded the higher rate of Attendance Allowance and became eligible for Pension Credit.
