Make content about: Hamid moved into a home of his own
After months sleeping outside and in cars, Hamid finally has an accessible ground-floor home of his own.
This story
Hamid fled violent unrest in Iraq and has spent over a decade in the UK asylum system. Severe mobility issues and a heart condition left him struggling to walk, and after being evicted he survived by sleeping in a car and outside. With help from a caseworker, he secured medical care and moved into an accessible ground-floor home while awaiting a decision on his claim.
