Surviving a wartime ambush left George with severe injuries. Decades later, he and Anne found a peaceful home in London.
This story
While serving in the Korean War, George survived a night patrol ambush despite sustaining fourteen bullet wounds in his leg and one in his hand. After months in hospital, he returned home, learned to drive, met his wife Anne, and spent decades working abroad as a driver for officials. When their previous home was threatened with demolition, they moved into a flat where they receive regular support and care.
