Make content about: Gail is still living an active life

Gail was diagnosed with blood cancer at 46 while raising four children. More than thirty years on, she is still living an active life.

This story

Gail was diagnosed with essential thrombocythaemia in 1991 after routine blood tests before a thyroid operation. At the time she was a 46-year-old widowed mother of four running her own cafe-restaurant, which she decided to sell to take early retirement. Over the next three decades, she managed medication, regular blood tests, and a heart condition while remarrying, staying active, and becoming a great-grandmother.

Where you could take it

Spend time with Gail at home to hear what it takes to manage blood cancer over three decades.
