When Gabriela was 16, her 62-year-old grandmother had a stroke that permanently affected one side of her body, leaving her struggling to walk, move one arm and speak. Her family had to learn how to support her long-term recovery as they went. In memory of her grandmother, Gabriela is taking on the London Marathon in 2027 to raise money for Brain Research UK.
