Make content about: Flo got her independence back

Diagnosed with epilepsy at ten, Flo was terrified of sleeping alone until a specialist camp helped her regain her independence.

This story

Flo was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2022, leading to nighttime seizures, severe anxiety, and months of sleeping in her parents' room. Medication side effects and missing out on school trips and sleepovers left her feeling isolated. After attending a family camp in summer 2025, she took on a five-day camp on her own, successfully slept through the night by herself, and returned home with lasting confidence.

Where you could take it

Meet with Flo and her mum Michelle to hear about her time at camp and see how her routine at home has changed since.
