Make content about: Essouma is mentoring through sport

After an injury ended his sprinting career, Essouma rebuilt his life to mentor other young people through sport.

This story

Essouma moved to the West Midlands to train as a professional sprinter, but a severe injury ended his plans to compete at the 2022 World Indoor Championship. He worked at McDonald's to improve his English and secured work as a personal trainer, before losing work during pandemic lockdowns. After connecting with Sport 4 Life UK, he gained new qualifications and became a youth engagement officer delivering community outreach.
