Ella grew up in the Bannau Brycheiniog area with a background in fine art and a desire to connect people with nature. She joined a four-month youth ranger programme on the Penpont Estate, gaining practical land skills like building leaky dams and planting native trees while leading community art sessions. The experience helped her overcome shyness, and she returned to take on a permanent role coordinating learning and engagement.
