Make content about: Eliana brought folk to concert halls

Eliana brought Pacific Colombian folk traditions into classical concert halls, becoming the first woman to have a full programme performed by Colombia's national orchestra.

This story

Eliana moved from Colombia to London in 2021 to study composition before joining the London Philharmonic Orchestra's talent development scheme. She spent three years developing an orchestral work blending opera, jazz and vocal traditions from Colombia's Pacific Coast. In 2025, the National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia performed her full programme, followed by an invitation to join an artist residency in the United States.
