Make content about: Clarke turns braille into tactile art

After losing his sight at 32, Clarke rebuilt his life by transforming braille into colourful tactile art.

This story

Clarke grew up blind in one eye and lost his remaining sight at 32, which cost him his job in dental model making and his home. He learned braille in three weeks on a mechanical device and realised its dots could be used as visual and tactile typography. He now creates large interactive gallery installations that encourage people to touch the work, and is preparing an installation featuring 3D-printed braille packaging.
