Make content about: Carol got the respite she needed

Carol reached a breaking point caring alone for her son, until regular visits gave her the respite she desperately needed.

This story

Carol's 33-year-old son Chris has hydrocephalus, epilepsy, diabetes, optic nerve damage and learning difficulties. After her parents died, the pressure of caring for him alone led Carol to a breakdown. A care support worker now visits four times a week to take Chris on outings, giving Carol regular rest.

Where you could take it

Spend a morning with Carol to hear about the reality of caring and how regular support transformed her daily life.
