Billy came into rescue from an inspector terrified of anyone being near or touching him, hissing and spitting to ask for space. The team spent hours sitting quietly with him, talking softly and offering treats until he felt safe enough to accept gentle strokes. A few months later, Billy now walks to the front of his pod to greet staff with a slow blink and a meow.
