Make content about: Bhavna built a national charity

Bhavna found no support when her seven-year-old son was diagnosed with progressive sight loss, so she built a national charity.

This story

When Bhavna took her seven-year-old son for glasses, he was diagnosed with Stargardt disease, a rare genetic eye condition causing progressive central sight loss. Finding no support groups available, she founded Stargardt's Connected to bring affected families together and bridge the gap with scientific research. Ten years on, her son is studying for his A levels, and the charity delivers regular support sessions across the UK.
