Bev lives with chronic pain after 22 surgeries, walks with a stick and has a fused ankle while waiting for a knee replacement. Having volunteered her whole life, she saw how isolated people became after the pandemic while delivering food parcels. She joined a community meal project in 2023, where she helps serve weekly meals and gives local people a place to connect.
