Make content about: Bethany fights for outdoor access
Bethany once doubted she could ever become an author. Now she is an award-winning writer fighting for accessibility in the outdoors.
This story
Bethany began writing poetry after becoming chronically ill as a teenager, but struggled to see a future in an industry with few people like herself. While taking part in writer development schemes, she developed a life-changing illness and became paralysed, finding vital encouragement from the community around her. She has since published books, co-edited a bilingual anthology, and established herself as a voice for disabled access.
