Make content about: Bethannie is building her own future

Bethannie spent her childhood caring for her mother and sister. Now in her twenties, she is building a life of her own.

This story

Referred to Honeypot at age nine, Bethannie grew up caring for her younger sister with cerebral palsy and supporting her mother, who was later diagnosed with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. Respite breaks gave her rare time away from home and the chance to meet other children in similar situations. Now in her twenties and an ambassador for the charity, she hopes to become a university history lecturer.
