Make content about: Annie supports people in custody
After more than forty years of addiction and prison, Annie rebuilt her life and now works in custody diversion.
This story
Annie spent over forty years in addiction, went to prison and had her child removed from her care. After meeting an acquaintance who had found recovery, she admitted she needed help and committed to getting clean. She began volunteering as a peer mentor, worked on reception at a local service, and eventually joined the liaison and diversion team at Blackpool custody through the NHS.
