Eric has lived with disabilities and anxiety since a workplace accident in the 1990s, while Anne left her job at 60 to care for her mother. During the cost of living crisis, they struggled to afford everyday essentials, from food to heating their home. With nowhere else to turn, they applied for a grant from Friends of the Elderly to help pay for fuel and food.
