Make content about: Andrew finds company on respite breaks

Andrew lives alone after a heel amputation, relying on regular respite breaks to get out and meet people.

This story

Andrew was born with spina bifida and hydrocephalus. After a wound in his left heel failed to heal, he had to have it amputated. He lives on his own with carers visiting three times a day, supported by his mother and two sisters, and uses respite breaks to spend time with others.

Where you could take it

Spend a day with Andrew during a respite break as he meets other people and takes part in activities.
