Make content about: Alex and Oli are saving an ancient house
Alex and Oli bought a crooked 600-year-old house and are restoring its rotting timber frame through supper clubs and tours.
This story
After falling in love with a 14th-century building in Lavenham, Alex and Oli met during lockdown and bought the house together in 2021. Concrete render added in the 1960s had trapped moisture and caused the ancient oak frame to rot. They are now working to replace it with traditional lime plaster, hosting dinners and tours to fund the ongoing repairs.
