Make content about: Alex signed up for a fitness race

After a stroke took half of their mother's sight, Alex set a target to finish a fitness race in under ninety minutes.

This story

In March 2020, Alex's mother suffered a stroke that left her with 50% vision in each eye and unable to access standard rehabilitation. She continued working as a judge and began volunteering to help make train stations accessible for people with visual impairments. Inspired by her resilience, Alex signed up for the Manchester fitness race, aiming to finish in under an hour and a half.
