Make content about: Aida found joy in respite care

Aida lives with a rare condition and severe seizures, but she greets every day with charisma and a bright smile.

This story

Diagnosed at age three with CDKL5 Deficiency Disorder, fifteen-year-old Aida lives with drug-resistant epilepsy, dysphagia and mobility challenges. Her parents Jamie and Pelin found it difficult to trust anyone else with her care due to the frequency and severity of her seizures. Since beginning respite care at a hospice, Aida spends her time enjoying the sensory room, arts and crafts, and music therapy.

Where you could take it

Spend time with Aida and Jamie during a visit to the hospice to see her enjoy the sensory room and music therapy.
