Make content about: Adam found purpose tracking wildlife
Grief and social anxiety left Adam isolated. Volunteering with wetland wildlife records gave him purpose and his confidence back.
This story
After a major family loss in his late twenties, Adam found himself in a lonely depression and dealing with severe social anxiety. Looking for a purposeful way to keep his mind busy, he took on a data entry volunteer role at a wetland centre in autumn 2024. Using his background as a web developer, he created automated tools to organise wildlife survey data and began writing articles about site sightings. Volunteering has helped him gain confidence and manage his mental health.
