Make content about: Abdoulie launched a festival

Abdoulie saw talented Black artists and business owners overlooked in Southampton. He launched a festival to give them a stage.

This story

After arriving in Southampton from The Gambia in 2002, Abdoulie experienced the isolation of moving to a new country and later helped connect African associations across the city. Seeing that Black artists and business owners lacked visibility, he brought community members and local partners together with no funding to launch a festival. Today, the festival connects local talent and works to make cultural spaces accessible year-round.
