Make content about: Abbie walks to her paid café shifts

Abbie struggled to complete daily tasks outside her home. Now she walks alone to her paid shifts at a café.

This story

Living with her parents and socially isolated, 18-year-old Abbie struggled to complete daily tasks outside the house because of her autism diagnosis. With support from an employment worker who met her at a local café, she developed a plan to build her skills and took up a part-time volunteering role there. She has since completed coffee-making training and now works two days a week in a paid job, walking to her shifts on her own.

Where you could take it

Join Abbie on her walk to work and film her making coffee during a shift at the café.
