Aaron struggled with social anxiety, finding it difficult to approach unfamiliar people or speak out. To complete the skills section of his Duke of Edinburgh's Gold Award, he took up esports and mentored younger students at an afterschool club. Taking part in team gaming and stage interviews at events helped him gain confidence in everyday life.
